Here’s a scary thought. Stackoverflow.com is currently the 56th most popular site on the entire internet. For those not familiar with it: it’s simply a site for programmers to ask questions to each other when they don’t know the answer to something.

OK, think about that for a second. One of the most popular sites on the entire internet is a site for the people who keep all the computers up and running (and EVERYTHING has a computer these days) to log in and say: “Help. I have no idea what I’m doing here.” If that doesn’t scare you, it should. What if the most popular site was SurgeonsWithQuestions.com? I bet we’d be pretty freaked out if we found out the person about to cut us open was trying to find out how to do it 10 minutes beforehand. Don’t worry though, I’m sure the programmers who wrote the auto-pilot software knew EXACTLY what they were doing.
